On many vehicles, accelerated or uneven wear starts at the rear. If the rear axle isn’t square to the frame (out of thrust angle), the truck “steers” from the back, forcing constant correction at the front and chewing through tread. We measure this precisely and, when needed, realign the rear by loosening the U‑bolts, shifting the axle on its adapter plates and leaf spring saddles, and setting the thrust angle back to spec.
Once the rear is true, we set the front alignment for optimal handling and maximum tire life. The result: better stability, reduced scrub, and more miles per tire.
